I am using a Hauppenauge PVR USB2 and not the MVP. I have also tried using both 4:3 and 16:9 in the aspect setting. Let me know if more info is needed?

This sounds like you have an old version of NativeUtilities.dll somewhere.

Can you tell me the date and size on this file on your system? Also, can you check whether your have an old one in your plugins directory? (you shouldnt)

Well, you obviously do have it installed. GB-PVR isnt making random error messages that just happen to blame a DLL not installed with GB-PVR.

Quote:By-the-way are you coming out with another version soon?
No plans to at this stage. Ignoring plugin issues that will need to resolved by the plugin authors, this release seems to be going very well so far.

Missed the big roll out.

My "Dev" laptop fell down on the pictureslibrary.dll (typical error)
After deleting it, everything GB-PVR "standard" appears at first glance to be running ok.

I already had .Net 2.0 for quite some time on this computer for other programs.

XP Home SP2 (all updates current)

I don't expect any problems with my HTPC (to be installed later this week) since it is only running Appearance Manager and Weather 3rd party plugins.

Sub, I can't access the download or anything on gbpvr.com. Looks like the site is down.

I am getting the same app crash, exactly the same .NET event log in Application Log.

Tried running FileMon from Sysinternals - the last call from GBPVR for a dll before Dr Watson kicks in is looking for :

18:45:06 GBPVR.exe:2024 QUERY INFORMATION D:\devnz\gbpvr\en-US\GBPVR.resources.dll PATH NOT FOUND Attributes: Error
18:45:06 GBPVR.exe:2024 QUERY INFORMATION D:\devnz\gbpvr\en-US\GBPVR.resources\GBPVR.resources.dll PATH NOT FOUND Attributes: Error
18:45:06 GBPVR.exe:2024 QUERY INFORMATION D:\devnz\gbpvr\en\GBPVR.resources.dll PATH NOT FOUND Attributes: Error
18:45:06 GBPVR.exe:2024 QUERY INFORMATION D:\devnz\gbpvr\en\GBPVR.resources\GBPVR.resources.dll PATH NOT FOUND Attributes: Error

Hope this points Sub towards a clue! Rolling back... Sad( to previous version

There is no such dll called GBPVR.resources.dll, so I'm guess that'll just be some standard .net behaviour which looks for optional resource dlls that contain (for example) translated versions. Not having these files is not a problem.

I've just checked now and it seems to be working okay. It was probably just a momentary hosting glitch (we do get 'em often).

Sub, a reinstall seems to have solved the immideate problem. My NativeUtilities.dll is from 2006-05-12 at 1272kb. No other versions in sight. Now I am struggeling with the problem psycik reported earlier with GBPVR crashing playing a file. Will play around with the plugins as they seems to be causing some issues.
