Its wont be related to this scanning stuff. Most likely it is related to the audio decoder.

Also make sure you're not running AC3Filter or ffdshow, these can cause sync problems.

Yeah, I'll do that.

I hadnt thought this combination would occur. It seems pretty rare. I've not seen it on any other stations.

When you get a chance, can you see if the attached patch resolves this? It adds the logic for #2, #3 etc.

David, did you get a chance to scan with these most recent patches? I'd be interested to hear if it solved your 100% CPU problem. It should do.

I've collected those current files involved in the various patches in this thead into this one download to make it easy: http://www.gbpvr.com/atsc-scan4.zip I've also updated the first post to reflect this.

The scan works pretty well now. I seem to be missing a few channels, and looking in my logs, I have a bunch of junk characters in the XML, presumably from zap2it. The identification for those channels fails.

Another very minor item in that once you click on a channel to assign it, there better be a scan found, because you must select something. I am now very careful what I click on. Sometime down the line, it would be nice to be able to "esc" or something and not make a selection.

Unfortunately, the two channels I would like the most do not show up on the scan. Perhaps their signals were too weak. I no longer see signal strength listed in the log file, so can't see how well they scanned.

Sub, looking good so far. Thank you very much for getting this squared away. Big Grin

Tried it - deleted the source, re-added, scanned and went to map but not seeing the #2 as expected and the first instance of WUVG in the drop down still has audio PID 53 - see the attached.

Thanks for the update. I'd be interested to hear how you get on after a few recordings.

unsword had the same garbage on one frequency. I think it does relate to a weak signal. I'll try to find a way to not parse this junk, but for now its not a huge problem - it just means no channels will be found on that frequency, which is ok given the state of the signal.

Yeah, I'm aware of that one. I'll add a blank entry in. For now you can select anything and uncheck the 'enabled' checkbox.

I am currently recording two shows (concurrently) from scanned channels (different stations) and they did not produce 6k files. Now I need to figure a way to boost the signal on the few channels that are desirable.

I have to stop playing in 25 minutes, as a real show is coming up for my wife.

Looks like it was the ATI MUX that was causing the audio problems. When I switched it to DVR-MS, eveything looked and sounded fine and it looks like all my stations were found. I'll test each of them out tomorrow.

Thanks a lot Sub
