jschoef Wrote:Well For the peeps with Vista Business (and possibly basic), the wizard for setting up Yahoo does not work, so you cannot configure Yahoo's EPG. One work around is installing it on a XP machine with a tuner installed and when in the wizard, put in your zip code and pick your cable provider.
Once you do that, copy the data from the xp machine from Docs&Settings/all users/application data/Yahoo! to the Vista Machine in location ProgramData/Yahoo!
Good find. I'll update the instructions in a day or two.

You're welcome.

jschoef Wrote:One question though, this might of been addressed already but Yahoo! is getting there listings from zap2it, im wondering since Yahoo was giving this software out for free but really stopped developing it, are they still going to get listings from zap2it...is Yahoo paying for it??? It would be shame all this work for nothing.
They are paying for the guide data. It is not subject to the 9/1 cutoff. How long they continue to pay for it, I couldn't tell you.

For those of you that are slow like me you can install the yahoo go for tv on any machine with or without a tv tuner and kick of the program guide wizard manually by using this at the command line in the yahoo go for tv directory.

ygtvwizardhost.exe {11534277-7823-4E49-AFE6-587805632302}

If that does not work then browse to the \plugins\wizard\tvlineups directory and open the TVLinups.plugin file with notepad and copy the plugin id and use that in place of the numbers in brackets above.

I'd like to give this EPG data method a try.

If I follow the instructions included in the first 3 posts to this thread, will I be ok? Is there anything more (or less) that I need to do?

I'm running on an XP Pro machine.

Thanks.

I am still having everything an hour behind. Shows that are supposed to be at 330 PM are showing up at 230. When I ran the program, I am typing in yahooxmltv offset=+0100

Can someone please help me with my problem?

Thank you

Use offset=+0000 to set it to UTC time.

I'm having a problem. GBPVR's TV Guide is blank.

I downloaded Go4TV, installed it, setup a lineup, ran YahooXMLTv, it produced an XLM file (~14MB). Then I went into GBPVR Config deleted my capture source, then re-created it, selected XML Plugin as EPG source, pointed it to the 14MB XML file, updated the EPG, all channels show up in the Config utility.

Then I open GBPVR and the TV Guide is blank.

What am I doing wrong?

Try running the EPG update in the GBPVR config again. If that does not work, zip and post your xml file.

I ran the update again and had no luck. The forum uploader isn't working for me. The zipped XML file is about 2.3MB, but that shouldn't be too big...

Is there any part of it that you need? Maybe I can post that.

Without seeing the logs I’m guessing you didn’t uncheck the duplicate channels during the Go setup.
GBPVR will not allow you to have duplicate channels.
