gotcha... also works when you set 'interact' on user-account permanently...lol
[so no batch stuff necessary, just a one time thing]
[but i think it defeats purpose of having no 'interaction' w/desktop, but you still get networking]
just glad i looked into getting familiar with sc.exe..now can make a command to autofix the rec service when upgrading..

well, isn't working from rec service even *with* changing the service...
so back to scheduler, where it works fine...
all in all, not a biggie...

I was very happy using the task scheduler. But I'm glad for Version 2 to work without it

well i got it working with a little app i created called 'run-as' that allows you to 'runas' a user w/interact also... worked a charm first time..
[tho i tested it several times manually, ya never know how it will react when run under a service]
latest beta autoit allows all sorts of odd logon options so wasn't a problem..
use a line like so: run-as.exe "user" "password" "command"
start /w "" run-as2 "user" "password" "UltraXMLTV_Enhancer.exe xmltvfile.xml"
place run-as.exe in same dir as ultra..

no need to run as system account to get 'interact' with desktop, doesn't care who you run under either...must have a password, no blank ones allowed..
also works for other processes..[irblasters , etc.]

justwanted a backup in case the new one has problems for me...

so first off, how do i turn off series episode lookup? can't even open that tab...
EDIT: ok, got it, turned off seasEPnum and all is lightning fast...
also, is there a proper way to terminate processing? just the red x?

so we still call it same way as old one? ok, adding my service mods...lol j/k
might wanna mention it can now work launched under any logon account now tho...
but i guess that's more helpful to v1 users to get them over to v2...

can we save the registration info so won't have to do it again when moving things about?
[assuming if i copy all files in dir it will keep reg.]
i'm forever build/rebuilding or upgrading..

So, I call my UltraXMLTV command in my UpdateEPG.bat one line after I run mc2xml. But, I just saw some documentation for a similar xml enhancement where they suggested putting it in the "postupdateEPG.bat" file.

Yes. It matters. Ultra must happen after a Grabber inside the UpdateEPG.bat

The only other utility that I know works in the PostUpdateEPG.bat is XmltvExtras.exe and that works much differently than Ultra
