Are there other significant advantages with 64 bit other than > 3 GB RAM that I am not thinking of?

Well, I thought it worked without winLIRC. I thought winLIRC was just for those DIY receivers connected to a serial port. Hopefully if your remote is USB then you can just interpret the key as if they were keyboard or mouse clicks. I haven't tested it for myself. But once it's set up, you can compile the script into an exe so you don't even need autohotkey installed to run the scripts. How's that for a neat setup? :p

Seems to me if you are staying with 32 bit you should use windows XP. I just installed XP yesterday and it starts up so fast because I disabled so many services. Uses 50MB RAM after loading up and is fully functioning. Where is the advantage of vista or windows 7 32 bit?

Thanks so much for this release Sub!

In particular, I love being able to use the DVB-S / T radio- very useful for recording.

I tried to install the upgrade last night and failed, kept getting framework error. After about an hour I decided it was time to quit, woke up this moring and checked this thread. I did not scroll down and see the very important red bold lettering, opps operator error. It looks like it works haven't got to check out any new features had to go to work.

I just wanted to say thank you for this program, I've been using just under a year now. Keep up the good work.Wink

I experienced some problems using 1.4.7. and the MVP.

1. When "rewinding" live TV by pressing 2 and the |<- button to go 2 minutes back it skipped back to the beginning of the show, I couldn't get back to the current position, I had to stop and start LiveTV again.
2. If I press STOP or EXIT to go back to the main menu I got stuck in a black screen. Had to power cycle to restore.

I rolled back to 1.3.11 and all is well now.

Post the logs for these problems in the MVP sub-forum and I'll take a look.

Sorry Sub, I rolled back to 1.3.11 and deleted the old logs. For a change EVERYTHING (GBPVR+ZProcess) is working fine and my wife will kill me if I break it again.

I do see there is another post with similar issues:

thanks for a great product.

Another Sub standard release (the exact opposite of substandard).

The upgrade was very smooth and did not seem to overwrite my channel icons this time, the new channel scan is much improved and the play/pause option is WAFtastic.

Thanks again Sub.

I upgraded to the new version. Everything appeared to work smoothly during the installation. But, I've found that I can no longer watch my mpg video files or watch live tv through my PCH. I can watch these when I do it directly on my pc though. I am still able to watch videos in ISO format on my pch. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it?

You may need to go into the Windows Services control panel, edit the GB-PVR Recording Service and enable the 'allow service to interact with desktop' setting.
