Annoying Choppy Audio

I also had the stuttering audio problem running W7 pro 64bit and I tried all sorts things, drivers, codecs everthing!
I also found if I paused the live TV show even just for a second it was all good again and recordings were always good.
So just for reference I installed Mediaportal and what do you know it had the same problem!
The only media centre that did not have the issue was Windows media centre and I think Hauppagge's Win TV 7 was ok as well.
In the end what I did to fix it was install W7 32bit version and no more problems.
So bit hard to say what the issue is or where it lies, it probably was not a NPVR problem, it may be a windows problem, or a Hauppagge driver problem or an ATI driver problem, (which is what the M/B was based on), take your pick.

It didn't happen with GBPVR, ergo it's an NPVR problem in my book. A solvable one I'm sure, and less of an issue than it was, but a problem none the less...

Many people have opted to upgrade XP to Win7 as part of the NPVR upgrade, which disproves your proof. However w.r.t. the OSD I agree that NPVR video performance is not acceptable on my machine (Vista EVR)

I'm still running GBPVR with Win7 though. Its audio is fine, as it was with XP too.

Nope, I'm still rocking it old skool with 32bit Windows 7.

Does that mean that you have the choppy audio problem with npvr and win7 32bit? Thus disproving its a win7 64 bit issue?

Yep. To clarify my case (all 32bit):

XP + GBPVR, audio fine
XP + NPVR, audio unknown

7 + GBPVR, audio fine (been running since Christmas)
7 + NPVR, audio stutters
