smacrae Wrote:Hi Martin.....I've been using your latest X-New on my various Gotham builds without any issues...really great work...much better than the Live TV add-on in my opinion...really great work...

Oddly enough it is the most stable PC client (xbmc and native) I have had ever so I am pleased,

Quote:However on the screenshot you posted above I don't see the controls if I press any button....just the Channel logo, then channel number (1) and also the title of the program...in the screenshot it's called "The World This Week"

There are no controls at the moment in my custom skin. As soon as you click the screen the xbmc skin takes focus, so I though it would be too confusing. I've got a bit of work to do on this once Gotham skins settle down. As a example your screenshot looks old and you might be suffering from this bug. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=177886

smacrae Wrote:If I press Y during play back it brings up the "Default PVR playback"....is that what you mean? I have NextPVR Add-On in XBMC disabled at the moment though...it seems to work....however I am at a loss on how to make this the default...

When I type Y is DVD Player, I can't get it to start the PVR Player. When PVR is disabled I can't load sub's PVR function, that infrastructure is disabled. To give it focus you have use the mouse, and to get back you need back/esc.

The main reason for my own skin is the mini guide. I might abandon it if is takes too much support.

Edit I forgot to mention that you can enable the OSD player controls with the M key. It toggles two options, a mini control and a big one. I was playing with this (and on which key to use, the view without the OSD control is I or Alt B

Unfortunately that's not the bug I am suffering from...doesn't matter if I use full screen or window or how much I zoom in or out on...also same issue using my MacBook Pro or my Windows NUC devices....however I did work out the issue...I am not using XBMC's default skin because I also use PleXBMC with Peckino's Amber Skin which integrates XBMC in to Plex nicely...I guess there won't be an easy fix on that one...

Don't give up on your skin that overlays when one chooses X-NEWA....it's too good! Please keep it...

Ok now I see the defaults in Amber don't work well with my skin. To enable the default skin you can use the Home key if you can't click it. After that if needed you can use the Back key to get to my skin for the mini-guide etc.

Note that I plan to update X-NEWA in 8-10 hours to the release version for 3.2.9. It should be compatible in SOAP mode with older versions of NextPVR but as this will be an automatic update if you have that mode set, you can disable the NextPVR repository temporarily.

Hi Martin

I've not upgraded to 3.2.9 as yet and XNEWA must have updated automatically...I've changed to SOAP however unfortunately as soon as I attempt watch a 'recorded' or 'recording' file I get the following error: "OFFLINE CANNOT PLAY THIS FILE OFFLINE"....I can't upgrade to 3.2.9 for the next few days so do you have any suggestions?

Live programs are still working...

Don't worry, I quickly fitted in an upgrade to 3.2.9...don't want you wasting time on backwards compatibility when it's easy enough to upgrade.

All working great, love the new little cover art for programs....however one small issue...in TV Guide when I go in to a program that doesn't have cover art sometimes the menu items don't select...one has to press up and down a number of times to get it to work...seems that when cover art is available it always works...however sometimes it works without cover art....does that make sense?

EDIT 1 : From the NextPVR Client the above issue is not there...only when using XEWA from XBMC...

EDIT 2: Just wondering when I play a file that has been recorded I get the XBMC interface but when I stream a Live TV program it seems to be more direct bypassing the XBMC player (or something like this) therefore my de-interlace mode is ignored...any ideas how I can avoid this?

Sorry, this one is a known issue. Martin and I have talked about it, but I haven't managed to come up with a fix yet. It's pretty high on my priority list to get this sorted though.

To only difference in the player is the skin used. For LiveTV to be able to change channels and show the F1 mini guide I use a skin. Hitting the Home key (You might need to map something on the remove equivalent) should turn off the skin.

What streaming mode are you using and if you change the demux via the OSD does it stick? I know it does it for me.
