I've been having this problem regularly since Kodi v14.0 - and I'm on Win10 now with Kodi v15.

This drives me nuts that such a fundamental part is so broken - but it looks like you were on to a solution, but I'm not following... Was there ever a definitive fix reached for this?

Other than a client change I alluded to for sub to remove the version check that fails when the server is down, no one has uploaded any logs showing a problem therefore it is working.

Understood.

Which log do you need exactly? I'm not sure how to show you a problem that really just looks like something ISN'T happening, you know?

Just reproduce the problem, ie Kodi running, do a new recording, wait a couple of minutes, confirm you still cant see it in kodi, then post the kodi.log along with web.log/nrecord.log.

You'll probably need to enable debug logging in kodi for it to have anything useful.

The idea is to force something to happen. I will need the Kodi.log with debug on. Start Kodi and let it run. Go to NextPVR start and cancel a recording. Wait a few minutes and then upload the log or post the URL from the Kodi Log Uploader addon.

Thanks for offering to help

Exactly what I needed to know. I'll get you this stuff as soon as I have a few minutes to grab it!

Alright - here are some screenshots and the three logs you specified.

For the screenshots, the file name should tell you what you need. For NRecord.log, I stripped out everything that was not from today - I have no idea what else to strip out, so you got it all.

Logs are all in the .zip.

Thanx in advance!!

Thanks I don't know what happened but there is a timezone problem. NextPVR is sending the update_time in UTC not adjusting for any timezone offset. When Sesame Street with padding at 14:32 PDT, NextPVR told Kodi it finished at 14:32:01 UTC so it will be like there hasn't been changes for 8 hours.

Code:
2015-08-07 14:37:30.134    [DEBUG][3]    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<rsp stat="ok">
  <last_update>1438957921</last_update>
</rsp>

See if this hacked update (for Windows) that adds the timezone seconds back helps.

Alright I finally got the chance to try this, but it won't even initialize now. Here's what I did:
1. downloaded the .dll from your post
2. navigated to C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\addons\pvr.nextpvr
3. renamed the existing pvr.nextpvr.dll to pvr.nextpvr.dll.BACKUP
4. pasted the one into the folder from the download
5. launched Kodi

Error I get right away is:
PVR clients: NextPVR PVR Client
Check the log for more information about this message.
Add-on couldn't be loaded.
An unknown error has occurred.
Can't load Dll

Additionally, I don't know which log to look at. Suggestions?

Did you extract the file from the 7z archive and make sure that you have the correct UAC permissions?
