kainat Wrote:I was afraid that you were going to say that! I was allowed to setup up the guide (select region, enter postal code, select provider) and download it in media center. I just can't view it, because it thinks I don't have a tuner card. I have a wintv pvr 150 that I don't use anymore to setup media center, but media center won't detect the ir dongle and stops the setup wizard. I also tried the manual setup(what little manual setpp they allow!) with no luck either.

I was able to use MceEpg2XmlTv last night and it produced an xml file. I just can't get the GUI working.

Thanks

You'll have to borrow a card that will install. You're in Canada. Where?

May I suggest taking the spaces out of the files?
Um, there is no space in the link now. Smile
There is in the link where you quoted me but I modified and tested the link in my post.

I am in Ontario. I managed to get my PVR150 working in media center, but the GUI still does not work. The downloader still crashes and there are no providers to choose from.

Thanks

Let's back up. Are you able to see listing in MCE?

THat's great. I actually downloaded the source and saw the compiled files were included. I tested it all out and it's great...

Good work...

Do you have SP3 installed by any chance? There was something in it that broke the downloader. See http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...tcount=715 for the fix.

You duplicate everything.. Once you know what your twoo headend IDs. Setup two different config files with the GUI (1.xml and 2.xml)

eg.

Code:
@echo off
cls

cd "C:\EPG\Grabbers\MceEpg2XmlTv 2.0" <<<< this is where I have it....

rem starting the first headend

echo.
echo.
echo Downloading for 0008100- ....
echo.

MceEpgDownloader.exe [B]0008100-[/B]

echo.
echo Converting to XMLTV format for 0008100- ....
echo.

MceEpg2XmlTv.exe [B]1.xml [/B]auto

rem starting the second headend (using a different config file with the converter)

echo Downloading for 0009999X ....
echo.

MceEpgDownloader.exe [B]0009999X[/B]

echo.
echo Converting to XMLTV format for 0009999X ....
echo.

MceEpg2XmlTv.exe [B]2.xml [/B]auto

Notice how I did not specifiy the output filenames? I like that, but you may still want to. I end up setting the first output file: 0008100-.output.xml to Capture Source 1 and 0009999X.output.xml to Capture Source 2
