Thanks Jeff, it would come in use in the future if you post it. I'm working on the SkinPlugin this weekend so will do it by hand - at least it this way will clean up the skin file.

It appears the new UI doesn't have the means to use images for the tvguide grid, the skinplugin selection of "TVGuideGrids" can get dropped. These will be xml colors and the default ones are probably fine for the majority of users.

The close button may go away as well.
No provision for this right now in the new UI.

Maybe we should break away from the old skin and SkinPlugin?

SkinPlugin2 and CSkin3? (Whatever names really)

Reason? Those who want to stay locked in the old UI for whatever reason, we don't mess with that.
All the stuff we are changing may affect them.

I see the OSD options wouldn't be viable now either.

Seems like we don't want to break the Old UI stuff with the new stuff.
We just create a new legacy version with the new stuff for the legacy plugins.

That may be easier for McBainUK's efforts and my efforts with the xml's

What do you guys think?

thats probably a good idea, but you might not want to just delete everything, because alot of it is bound to come back sometime...

What does this mean exactly?

Sorry, I haven't been explaining thing better.

Skin2--
--[Community3] <--New UI skin.

Skin--
--[Community] <--Current v2.x.x skin with ..\_CommonImages for those using the old UI.
--[Community3] <--New modified skin for legacy plugins, companion to the new UI skin.

Community3 under "Skin" is basically a copy of v2.x.x with no OSD, no TvGuide, no menu, no Weather Plugin (new UI now), no default library plugins, no new UI stuff, ect.

Ah, I get it now, that all makes sense.

A frozen CommunitySkin for users running GBPVR.exe and a new Community3 skin with skin2/ plugins and core screens and skin/ for legacy plugins.

Exactly. I thought the features that are dropped (possibly being added in future?) would be to much for the legacy version as a stand-alone skin for users opting to stay with that.
