When I select it and try searching for anything (even the word 'the') I always get "Sorry, no listings found...". I have a pull from Zap2XML and it is imported and my TV Guide is all populated - but SearchWiz2 always returns no hits. I looked in the logs directory and in PVRX2.exe-1.log I found:

2007-10-21 13:35:57.437 ERROR [1] SearchWizX2.core: GetGenreList()- Unable to cast object of type 'System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection' to type 'System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection'.

Zip and send me the full log. It looks like you somehow have the wrong version of the SQLite DLL. In the load of the plugin, I write out the versions of the DLL.

frankmcg Wrote:Thanks. I've tried to change this by creating a new text style to increase the font size but it seems to have got even smaller now! I don't really know much about xml so not sure what I should change to increase this font size just in searchwiz (ie not screwing up anything else GB-PVR is using this font for) ?
Try the attached skin.xml:
  • Nav to gbpvr/skins2/blue/SearchWizX2
  • Rename skin.xml to skin.xml.SAVE
  • unzip attached skin into directory.
  • Restart, fonts should be slightly larger, and selected entry should be Yellow.
To adjust the fonts in the lists, edit the following two entries:

Code:
<TextStyle name="ListNormalTextStyle"   color="[B]White[/B]"  size="[B]13[/B]"/>
        <TextStyle name="ListSelectedTextStyle" color="[B]Yellow[/B]" size="[B]13[/B]"/>

SearchWizX2 v1.0.9 has an older version of WizUiHelper.dll packaged with it than MovieWiz v1.0.9.1. I installed MovieWiz, then SearchWiz, and SearchWiz prompted me with WizUiHelper.dll is older, do you want to keep newer version. I told it yes.
NPVR 4.1.0.180302 o Kodi 17.6 o EventGhost 0.5.0.rc4 o SAF 6.3.2 o SchedulesDirect

That's true, these plugins are leap-frogging each other. You should always keep the newer version. I try to make them backward compatible, so the new version should work with older plugins.

I installed 1.0.9 and now I have serious delays when I search for a show, cursor around, etc. Sometimes I have to wait over 10 seconds before the keystroke will be processed. I didn't have this problem with older versions. Could it be a WizUiHelper.dll problem because I have MovieWiz installed, and they had different versions in the install package?

Just upgraded from V1.0.5 to 1.0.9 and also notice that the plugin has slowed down, same sort of delay between keystrokes and scrolling through the list as Wakalaka

I know my epg is rather large (250 channels 14 day listings) but was fine with the older version

However I don't have MovieWiz installed :confused:

Do you have AutoSearch turned on? If so, try turning off by setting to 0

<AutoSearchStringLen>?</AutoSearchStringLen>
to
<AutoSearchStringLen>0</AutoSearchStringLen>

If not, clear your logs, start PVRX2, wait for TVGuide to load, run SearchWizX2, note if the problem occurs, then send me the logs and note when the delay seemed to be occuring....

Loaded new version of SearchWizX2. The helper DLLs for IMDB info lookup have changed, and I removed some garbage collection code that I think was causing some performance (ie lock-up/slow-down) issues.

11/11/07 : 1.0.9.1
* Corrected logic on MovieInfo dialog as to which specific show episode was displayed.
* Enhanced IMDB Lookup with changes to WizUiHelper.DLL and WizWebHelper.DLL.
* Remove some garbage collection code which I believe was slowing the plugin at runtime.

I just did a full re-install of GBPVR and SearchWizX2. I am now experiencing the slow-down that was mentioned earlier. I'll look into this and provide a fix ASAP.

EDIT: Problem fixed. The slow response (and temporary lock-ups) should be fixed in most current version on wiki. Let me know if you experience any of these symptoms in this version.
