Just tried the Cyberlink mux. I do like it.
Unlike the Microsoft DVR-MS, the Cyblerlink MUX smooths over the rough reception spots with either skipping in video, and the audio is contiguous. I realize the playback may have something to do with this but I had it set to FDDshow as the playback for both muxes.
However, I keep going back to the Microsoft DVR-MS for the perfect sync between audio and video, and the elimination of this weird problem where when I skip forward or back sometimes the video hangs requiring me to play around with it to get it going (play, RR, FF, play etc. Even though I lose the ability for the clients to stream the video while being recorded I go back to DVR-MS

I bet that is decoder problem. I was facing this problem too when FFDshow for MPEG-2 was in use.
No problem using Cyberlink MPEG-2 (DXVA) decoder at all.

I've add it to my collection of MUX's on my Web Server.

All Mux's include new Cyberlink MpgMux.ax v5.1.0.2507

Do those muxers work on Windows 7?
Thanks!

Basically, TS muxer is fine and enough, but sometimes I need mpg.

BTW, version 5.1.0.2014 is working perfectly for me - using ~3/4 of year and i didnt noticed any problem at all in my MPG recordings.

Hey there... although this specific post is stale, I see the thread is still going... :-)

How does everything work if someone registers two Cyberlink muxes? So far I'm using the newest one 5.1.2507 but I'm having some trouble with my mpgs and want to try going back...

I think it may be the "merit" of each one that sets priority. I had problems with no analogue tuner in NPVR and eventually found the 'merit' was zero for the required hcw(whatever).ax
Some info and a tweaker at http://paul.glagla.free.fr/filmerit_en.htm
