I got TV Listings working. Saw in the logs that it was choking cause it could not find _CoreImages\TvGuide_Grid.png. I copied it in from \Commumity\_CommonImages and it works. Big Grin Now I can start tweaking it. Cool

Thanks
What, me worry?

I've tweaked the TV Listings skin best I could (see the other thread). Turns out I removed the TvGuide_Grid.png anyway. One thing I couldn't figure out is the title fonts on the popups which don't seem to be right. Not a deal breaker for me though. Thanks again for doing the skin.

popups are defined in the popups folder.
the title is defined in baseskin.xml (I think)

I assuming that you are manually modifying the skin files

So this might be a noob problem to have, as I don't have a huge amount of experience using the Community Skin + Skin Edit Plugin combo. If this is something that's already been covered somewhere, let me know and I'll dig around a bit.

I went through the process of putting a skin together using the Skin Edit plugin. After setting this skin and letting the plugin reset, I never saw PVRX2 restart. Or rather, that's what I thought...in reality, it had restarted, but it encountered this error:

Quote:2007-08-31 19:26:51.203 ERROR m_pD3DDev->CreateTexture(uiElement->image->Width, uiElement->image->Height, 1, 0, D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_MANAGED, &texture, NULL) failed
Error code : 8876086C
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL
Invalid call

What option did I choose that would have caused this? I didn't do any manual editing of the .xml, just used the plug-in.

On to an ancillary question. I like the skin-editor plug-in, but there are a few wishlist type things that I've thought of while using it. Would it be worthwhile to post those here, or is there a better place to put those types of suggestions?

Best thing is to start a new thread on the Community Skin sub-forum with your wish-list items.

I've never seen this error before. Is it from the pvrx2 log? If so can you zip and attach the complete file?

It sounds like it's trying to create a texture from an image and failing which may mean one of the images in the skin2/community3/_CoreImages folder is dodgey. If you re-install the Community Skin I believe you can choose to overwrite the current theme which will restore the images to default.

Also, if you post the file gbpvr\Plugins\SkinPlugin\CurrentTheme\Theme.xml I will be able to see what images you selected and test them out here.

Yeah, it's from the PVRX2-native.log. I've attached the log as well as the theme.xml.

Sounds good. I'll gather my thoughts together and post them sometime over the weekend. Keep in mind that most of the stuff I'll ask for is driven out of sheer lazyness. Smile

could you attach your pvrx2.exe.log file?

Also, try posting the latest logs after recreating problem, not xxx-2.log or xxx-3.log.

I suspect it may be this file you have as the background: "70302main_image_feature_ys_768_full.jpg"

Try overwriting gbpvr\skin2\Community3\menu\Background.jpg with a different image from gbpvr\Plugins\Backgrounds\ as a test.
