Search for Lucy, should return lots of matches for I Love Lucy. Scrolling through the episode list was SLLOOOOWWWW, we're talking 1-2 minutes cursor up/down between each entry. What in the heck is it doing?

On mine it returns:
I Love Lucy (77 entries)
If Lucy Fell (1 entry)
The Ballad of Lucy Whipple (2)

Scrolling thru the Lucy episodes responds in less than 1 second.

I have made several changes in the next version to deal with speed and 'client' mode speed. I will attach a new install, but if you use any of the existing tools that rely on WizUiHelper.DLL or WizWebHelper.DLL, they may break.

We will be releasing new versions next Monday for all the plugins affected.

Attached is the new versions, but make sure you backup the following incase of problems:
plugins/common/WizUiHelper.DLL
plugins/common/WizWebHelper.DLL
plugins/SearchWizX2/SearchWizX2.dll

Could it make it slow if I have 80 episodes recorded? Circle icons are displayed to the right of each episode meaning scheduled, already recorded, etc. Could it be taking a long time to search the SQL recordings part of the gbpvr.db3 database to figure out which icon to display?

Possible. I actually interface to the Recording service to determine if the show has already been recorded, I don't hit the db directly.

Did you try the new version? If so, I've increased the logging messages. Run thru your scenario, and ship me the logs, I'll try to determine where the bottleneck is.

New version is worse. Now SearchWizX2 doesn't appear in the Plugins list in the config app.

Post the logs and I'll take a look.

It is most likely a DLL problem. Make sure WizUiHelper.DLL and WizWebHelper.DLL ONLY exist in the plugins/common directory.

Config and my MovieWiz, SearchWizX2, and common dirs attached.
You didn't change the version for SearchWizX2 to 1.0.9.2 because the Windows Explorer status bar still says version 1.0.9.1.

There seems to be some mismatch on the DLLs. You can try these, it should get things working again.

I will be releasing an upgrade to all the DLLs and plugins this weekend so that they will all be in sync and include a couple minor bug fixes as well.

I assume your SearchWizX2 1.0.9.2 installs the 2 common Wiz DLLs, so does that mean your install package had wrong versions packaged together?

It could have (that's why I made the note to backup). That release was a quick patch to see if it would help with your slowness problem. Attached is one more attempt at making a patched version. It will break your MovieWiz and any other plugins that use Wiz DLLs, but if you backup your current ones, you can always fall-back until final version is released.

I will be releasing a new version this weekend. I picked that date to allow the other developers using WizTools to make some changes that are required for the new versions of the helper DLLs.
