UltraXMLTV Enhancer Version 2 - rc1

Rename All seemed to add the SeasonEp number to some of my pending recordings (but I'm not 100% certain which ones were missing it before). The only thing out-of-the-ordinary that I noticed was my Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles recordings were renamed with the show name appearing twice before the subtitle, which makes for a very long file name.

Give me an example, (even if it's an approximation) or what the filename (and / or sub_title) looked like before and now...

Here is a line from the Log, the recording file was renamed exactly like this comskip file:

Copy: T:\Recordings\Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles\Terminator-The.Sarah.Connor.Chronicles-S02E22-Born.to.Run.edl T:\Recordings\Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles\Terminator-The.Sarah.Connor.Chronicles-Terminator-The.Sarah.Connor.Chronicles.-.S02E22-Born.to.Run.edl

As a personal preference, I don't really like the extra periods added in to the file name, but it's not a big deal. The double show name is what really looks strange to me.

Here's the whole log. (Sorry it has logs from the past 2 weeks, Today's renaming is obviously at the very bottom)

I don't really wanna go too much more into the mechanics of the new feature.

By default, whenever you update the EPG, new (or modified) data can overwrite or update Programme records...

So if on a Monday, your epg/TVdb.com doesn't know what the SeasEpNum is, but on a Tuesday it does, the info will be added in the next normal EPG update... (This uses the normal Update EPG mechanism of GB-PVR.)

Except if you have that show set to recur record, or one-off record. Then the Programme Record is locked and GB-PVR will not attempt to update the information...

Ultra updates the information that cannot be updated normally on locked programme records. It directly accesses the database in a separate function. Very soon, it will be a behind the scenes - automatic function. I've noticed for far too long how stuff I have set to record won't get updated.

You you have the logging set to medium or heavier, you will see...

Indicating that this entry is actually locked and un-updateable in the database, that Ultra has found a SeasEpNum where before was not available, and updated that entry.

And if it if a Status 2 record, (finished recording, file exists) the files are all renamed...

Caveat: There are other types of information that may not be available one day, then become available the next and should be updated into that locked record. Currently Ultra will only update the SeasEpNum, into the Sub_title. For a variety of reasons, it would be too difficult to updated the other newer data.

While enhancing when theTVdb.com is offline...the status bar does not seem to update. The status bar message in the screenshot does not clear after a couple of seconds like it does when it fetches the file properly. Is this by intent?

Also, it seems that whenever I go to the TS tab and check if theTVdb.com or EPGTools.com is online it always return a False. Has anyone else seen this using a dial up connection? (I have tested with a highspeed connection and it will normally return True.)

Nothing has changed since the check was first introduced. If it worked before and it doesn't now, then it's something on your side... TheTVDB.com have NOT been acting up the last few days...

All the check does is test if the website's main html exists. A return happens quite quickly

I just started using UltraXmltv with xml files generated by Xmltv and as soon as I click to the xml file to enhance, Ultra starts "Fixing the PageCode". I have let it run for a long time, but it seems to be caught in some kind of loop using 100% of CPU. Is this normal for a first run? Thanks for your help.

No, it is not not normal. It sounds like you are using Ultra Version1. It also sounds like your XMLTV source isn't in good shape before enhancing, so it wants to preprocess the file...

You should let me know how you are getting the xmltv file, what grabber program, what are the settings (PM me if they're private).

And or make available to me a copy of the original before enhance xmltv file thatn you are trying to process.

Is 'Fix Channels' still needed? If so, what determines when it's needed?
Where would it fit into the manual process? Before or after UpdateEPG? Before or after TVListings/XmltvExtras?

I downloaded the Pre.zip file from the wiki assuming that was the latest version discussed in this thread. I'm using Xmltv as the grabber pulling info from Schedules Direct, which settings are you referring to? If you need my username and pw for SD, I can PM those to you. Thanks for your help.
