hmm,still no {ChannelName} stuff...top line channel name is right tho..but i'm guessing that's just the event data itself..

how come you can't test there? no working system?

Allright...

The current channel with epg information should work.

Also, idle message is now a custom string.

Also I've added an extra feature to the custom custom string -part.
If you use the keyword {Stop}, it stops processing the string when the requested value before the {Stop}-keyword was succesfully converted.

i.e. "{CurRecInfo}{Stop}{NextRecInfo}{Stop}{CurrentFile}{Stop}IdleMessage123"
- always show current recording, when there is one.
- when the is no current recording, it shows next sheduled recording.
- when there is no recording activity or nothing sheduled, it show current file, when playing one.
- if not playing one, it just shows the "IdleMessage123"

If all this works, I can add the epginfo when playing recorded video tomorrow.

yeah! everything works!
channel, descriptions, everything..
have to change smartie setup tho...diff keys..

oh, and when it gets more stable, could you please release source? so people could add to your fine work...
wait till you see what can be done with the custom strings... [animated icons etc, smartie $dll's should work in there..]

if nothing is recording, will {CurRecInfo} be blank?

it should be.

Except for the 4 custom lines, every keys is completely blank when no value is found.

I found it interesting the no one has requested an update of the External Display pluging for NPVR. I figured no one must be using it any more other than me!

I still use it, I just don't use NPVR yet. I tried NPVR when it first came out and had to many problems. It was also missing key things that I use in those early releases. So I decided to wait until an official release or two came out first. Now I am to busy to upgrade, so I hold on to GBPVR for a bit longer.
