Mobile iNEWA Support Thread

-Has there been any discussion to stream recordings back? e.g. using something like HTTP live streaming to watch on an iOS or other device?

It is already done with Airplayit. LiveTV cannot be streamed though.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned (don't have time to go through this thread)... But I've noticed that when navigating iNEWA via an iPad, you have to rotate the device to see the screen's contents. Otherwise all you see is the grey vertically striped background. For example, if I navigate to Scheduled Recordings/In Progress/Recordings there is nothing shown but the grey background. Rotate the iPad (from portrait to landscape or from landscape to portrait - depending on where I start) and then I can see the contents (and can cancel the recording if I want). Same thing for Ready Recording/Available/Episodes/Recording. After I rotate the device I can see the contents and delete the recording if I choose.

Also... If there are no recordings in progress or finished recording both the Schedule Recordings and Ready Recording pages will just show a spinning circle with "Loading..." next to it. If one didn't already know there were not recordings, one might assume that the app is just stuck. It would be better if it let you know that the contents are empty.

Could anyone advise, iNEWA works fine for me except it won't load the Scheduled recordings list.

I've just upgraded and have the same problem.

This is normal NEWA behavior.... it is a timer running within NEWA to check those items.

I did a compare of mobile between this release and the last release (2.01) and there are no differences....

Drat, it worked when I had 2.6.2 installed and now not on 3.1.1. I'll try another reinstall and see if it helps.

Ditto, not loading Scheduled recordings list. Also, settings are not sticky, probably because config-web-inewa.xml is missing.

I reverted my machine to an image of 2.6.2 and I can confirm that iNEWA is definitely different... well, at least in so far as the loading "spinning wheel" is completely different.

I am on NPVR 3.1.1 and NEWA and iNEWA are working just fine as far as I can tell. I know that doesn't help you, but it does work.

For me, not loading Scheduled recordings list has been broken since v2.0. Wasn't actually using mobile until I got my vpn server running, however.

Fixed the config-web-inewa.xml problem.
