LiveTV Freezes after 1-2 seconds

With everything original VLC opens and XBMC starts spinning then says tuner no longer available and leaves the file growing.

Does it play in NextPVR?

Nope. I'm going to reboot again because vlc wasn't launching and after a reboot it magically was working.

VLC is working in NextPVR but XMBC keeps says tuner no longer available.

That could be a timing issue. Does XBMC play vlc remuxed recordings ok?

Also if you have time could try the ffmpeg solution again and this time use

VlcCaptureFormat = -i rtp://{0}:{1} -acodec copy -vcodec copy "{3}.{2}" >> C:\ffmpeg\ouput.log

Then compress and pass me the output.log. This will tell us if ffmpeg is able to read the rtp stream.

Didn't make a log. I changed the registry and rebooted. It doesn't look like ffmpeg even opened.

I wonder if you need a space in front of the -i

Is the command running. If I enter that in a command prompt I get input /output error. At command the output.log is made but its empty. I did also try it with teh unrename ffmpeg.exe

It won't run it from the command line because the rtp isn't streaming. Let's try

VlcCaptureFormat = -i rtp://{0}:{1} -acodec copy -vcodec copy "{3}.{2}" > C:\ffmpeg\ouput.log 2> C:\ffmpeg\stderr.log

You aren't using the newer dll but for this testing it won't matter.
