Thanks again! I will test some more.
I thought the dd_progid format had the period so I added it. I'll remove it and post the new build later tonight.

It wont bother GB-PVR if the period is there or not.

whurlston Wrote:Edit: It's <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>1</TVGuideChannelHeaderType> to show the numbers.

The numbers should match the channel numbers in your MCE Guide.

OK, I see them now. They show up in PVRX2, not in GBPVR.exe. They are still incorrect in the display, but the correct ones are sent to the cable box.
How do I go about selecting/correcting the wrong ones? Do I do it in mceepg2xmltv, or in the gbpvr config?
As for the main issue with the uniqueidentifer, that seems to be resolved, thanks again.

You can always reconfigure the display name in MceEpg2XmlTv to include the channel numbers but I would recommend removing and recreating your capture sources if you do that. You may be able to rename them in the Channels tab in Config though, I haven't tried it.

So with Zap2it breaking Zap2xml again, figured I'd try again to get MCE to recognize my tuner cards. After some messing around, hey, it works this time. Cool, let's get the guide going....

I now see, and read on thegreenbutton over an extended number of posts, that even though MCE gets its guide info from Zap2it, it doesn't list guide info for ATSC subchannels. lol, what? MCE sure is a piece of work.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

If you are lucky, your cable lineup will broadcast the subchannels and you will have the listings in that lineup.

I've been using yapi on my old server which was XP based, but now I have Vista Ultimate on a new machine I'm building. I had some questions:

1) Can I run the whole EPG thing without a tuner card? Reason is it's located on the other server I will eventually be replacing and would like to get this up and running before switching over.

2) Do I have to fire up media center before installing and get the epg up on that first? If that's the case, do I need the tuner card for that?

I guess that's it..

Thanks.
