Try changing the following registry entry:
Code:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\ProgramGuide\strProviderId
You should be able to do this with the downloader as well.

I tried changing that last time to no avail. Before messing with it again, I took another look at thegreenbutton and noticed the following (credit to lynx over there)...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\TVConfig]
"iVideoSource"=dword:00000002
"iBroadcastStandard"=dword:00000001
"fHasSTB"=dword:00000000
"fHasDVB"=dword:00000000
"Version"="65537"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\ProgramGuide]
"fAgreeEPGPrivacy"=dword:00000001
"fAgreeTOS"=dword:00000001
"fEpgDataAvailable"=dword:00000001
"fGetEpgData"=dword:00000001
"fUsageTracking"=dword:00000000
"Version"="65537"

He wrote that for getting MCE TV and Guide to work without a TV card. I think all of my settings were the same already (since I do have a card), except the first one mine had a "1" instead of the "2". I don't think I did anything else. Rebooted, and it let me choose from all guide providers. I chose digital cable, it said, "Hey, buddy, you know you have an ATSC card, right?" and then, boom, there was the local digital cable guide. Whoo!

Maybe the setting merely reset the guide setup. I don't know. I couldn't get any choices besides antenna before, though.

Only problem is it's missing one subchannel that the channel's website says should be on there, so still working on finding out if it's supposed to be carried anymore or not.

Thanks for the help. Almost there!
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

That was going to be my next suggestion. Glad you got it sorted.

Wow this is a long thread now! I just had to reload and have a minor issue. New shows used to have a little star by them in the show name. When I reloaded, it no longer does this. I have all the retrieve boxes checked. I never used the GUI before now since I originally set it up during development. I am using a different time warner id since I added some digital channels, but I would think the new show indicator would still be the same.

Thanks, after almost a year, it still rocks!

The latest build no longer adds the star to new shows. The converter was rebuilt from the ground up and designed to work with UltraXMLTV which handles any enhancements like that.

I just installed a HVR 1600 into my machine to go along with my PVR-150. So, I have 2 analog inputs and 1 digital. I've gone into MCE and run through the entire TV setup along with the guide setup. I am using an Antenna as input for all 3 sources. Everything in MCE looks good (full guide for all channels).

I am now trying to get MCE2XML to work. Using the GUI, I was able to create a 1.xml file that was able to get all of the guide data for the analog stations. However, I am completely unable to get any information regarding the digital stations.

When I run the GetProviders.bat file, I get 10 headends. There is a headend listed for both Analog and Digital Antenna. When I run MceEpgDownloader with the digitial headend id, the program runs for some time and then exits. When I rerun the GUI, I get a File Not Found exception for an .xml file in the MCE EPG directory. I used explorer to go that directory to check it out. Yep, no .xml files at all. When I refetch the guide data from MCE, an .xml appears but the GUI always reads it as the analog headend. Every time I run the MceEpgDownloader the .xml file is blown away.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Microsoft has just started rolling out the digital antenna lineups but they are not available for my area yet so I haven't been able to test it or update for it. PM me you zip code and I'll take a look this weekend.

Sweetness. Thought it'd take until at least February if ever.

PM sent... thanks for looking into it.

I didn't realize that digital lineups were new. How are others currently setting up their digital stations in GBPVR?

Previously MCE got just the tuning information from the FCC tables and then tried to map the listings from other lineups. This was all transparent to users but is the reason there was no subchannel data (a long time sore spot with MCE users). Now they are starting to get actual listings for digital lineups.
