ddeschenes: if that table is getting populated by the cs file, then you have to do it inside the code.

How do I control the amount of seconds the stream jumps when pressing the fast forward button in the firefox vlc plugin?

The streaming is excellent and I love it, great work.
I was able to install it and get it running without a problem even through a SSH tunnel (OpenSSH running at home and PuTTY at work (forwarding port 1234))

Yep, being able to set the number of seconds is something I've put in for the next release.... which (cross your fingers) should be out within a week.

sgilani,
Any thoughts on using 'Windows Media Services' as well as VLC? perhaps as an option.

I currently store all files in WMA/WMV format and stream via Media Services but I really like what you are developing and thinking of switching to it for everything.

I'm having a problem.

I have several recordings on my computer, but none of them are showing up.

Do they have to be in a particular format, or default location?

sgilani was just wonderin how close you were to having the next version ready, see that you had hoped to have it within the week. I know how developing things go so no hurry but wanted to know if in next version would we be able to have it stream anything other recordings like my other movies dir? Big Grin

in order to stream other types of files from your hdd, they must be in the gbvpr database. You can import them with a utility called mpegimport, which I believe will import other types of files as well. If it doesnt, all you have to do is rewrite the xml file that it creates to include all of the relavent information for your non-mpg files. I have a few avi files in my database and the streamer works perfectly with them.

I dont suppose you have an answer for me, too, do you?

The recordings were made with GBPVR. I've changed the config to place the recordings in a new location, but I thought I read that the webstreamer would know where to find them through interaction with GBPVR itself.

yup, same answer. Go into the gbpvr gui, and go to recordings, and check if those recordings are listed? If not, they are no longer in the gbpvr database, which tracks the recordings it makes. When you move the files, gbpvr probably thinks you have deleted them.

If this is the problem, it can be fixed. (let me know, and ill tell you how) hoewever, if the recordings are in the database, but the streamer cant see them, i am afraid sgilani will have to address the problem with you directly.
