Just a quick heads-up for those users that develop plugins. With the next release we are moving to .net 2.0.

Quote:Any reason why?Lots of reasons, some of them below. - .net 1.1 is pretty old now. Everyone setting up new PCs these days seems to install .net 2.0, then wonder why GB-PVR does work with it. I'm growing tired of telling people that 2.0 wont work and that they need to install 1.1. - I want to upgrade my development environment from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005. - .net 2.0 and C# has new features I'd like to use - .net 2.0 provides native support for 64 bit versions of Windows - .net 2.0 is provided via Windows Update - there is a free version of Visual Studio 2005, which will be very useful for those wanting to develop plugins. This was not the case with VS2003. Quote:Will any of these or could the be better when using .net 2.0?These dont relate to the version of .net. These are features that could be implemented in either the existing .net 1.1 or .net 2.0.

I've not done a lot of testing with existing plugins, but I have briefly tried the 'DVD Ripper' and a couple of other plugins and they seemed to work fine.

You can install both: .net 1.1 and .net 2.0 next to each other might even be necessary in some setups.
09612 does still need .net 1.1.
