Will Visual Studio 2005 Express be suitable for this?

im wondering, to compile a .net 1.1 dll in .net 2.0 do all we have to do (well unless we are doing something really tricky) is open the project in visual studio 2005 and compile it as a .net 2.0 dll?
i dont really want to have to update a lot of code.... yeah and anyone use visual studio 2005 express c#, is it the exact same thing as the full program just only c# ?

Thx for the quick response guys !
By the way, Gbpvr has been reviewed in a Belgian magazine called Netwerk and they were very impressed by it. So Sub, just keep up the fantastic work you're doing !

All my stuff (including the UbuStream plugin) has shown 0 errors or warnings so far. That takes care of the syntactic stuff, but the wife tells me that her code has exhibited run-time errors - mainly in code she wrote to get around shortcomings/bugs in the 1.1 product (the DataGrid, for instance, actually works like a proper control now so all the little tricks you used to make it appear to work properly are now broken). The general impression I get from folks who have switched is that VS2005 is still a bit buggy but the added features, better IDE and documentation make it worth switching. Quote:visual studio 2005 express c#, is it the exact same thing as the full program just only c# ?Pretty much. They've just sliced it up differently. You need separate versions of express to do web development, SQL Server development, and so on. They're all free, so it's not a big deal. I haven't found anything that I need missing from the c# version yet. Here's a useful discussion: Visual Sudio 2005:Unstable and Highly Recommended
