If I understand the way the Scheduler works, the Recording type is just an indicator whether that particular program title will be recorded once, or for an entire season.

Currently in the Details.apsx web page, it only gives the option to record an episode once. I'm thinking of adding a button to record an entire season on a channel, or regardless of channel. This is easy enough to do using the ScheduleHelper methods. I'm assuming that when the EPG is updated it checks the database for episodes that are to be recorded for an entire season a specific channel and adds those recordings at that time to the scheduler. If this is correct then, I'm golden. If not, then how are seasons handled from within GBPVR?

Also, it appears that the Zap2It guide data only goes out a week at a time. Is there anyway to specify that it brings in more than a weeks worth of data, or is this a limitation of Zap2It?

yes

At the moment there is a hard coded setting which tells GB-PVR to try and maintain 8 days of data. I'll make it configurable in a later release.

It appears that the ScheduleHelper.ScheduleRecordings() method only works if you pass it a type of SchedulRecordings.RECORD_ONCE.

Passing it any other type, doesn't add an entry to the database. Specifically, I tried this with a Season recording type. I expected to at least see an entry in the Record Season table, but nothing was added.

I'm going to finish up what I have with the tweaks and additional web admin pages. Sub I'll send them to you, for posting on the plugins page if you want. They'll need to be cleaned up to integrate better with the look and feel of the web admin. Hopefully somebody else will take that initiative.
