Hi.

I'm having an issue with the dvd burn function in My DVD and am looking
for some advice.

When burning, steps 1 and 2 seem to work fine but I error out at step 3 below.

I watched my temp file while the programs were working.....
I saw the following files - demux.ajb, temp, temp-delay, temp.mpv
also a DVD file was added with audio ts and video ts subfolders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"C:\Utils\dvdauthor\mkisofs" -dvd-video -V "Joyce"
-o
/cygdrive/c/Utils/dvdauthor/mkisofs: option requires an argument -- o
Usage: mkisofs [options] file...

Use mkisofs -help
to get a list of valid options.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"C:\temp\temp.iso" "C:\temp\DVD"
'"C:\temp\temp.iso"' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>"C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter\DVDDecrypter.exe" /
MODE ISOWRITE /SRC

try playing the temp directory created in gbpvr as a "DVD Folder" if that works, then it is infact step 3 that is failing, if the "DVD" folder doesnt play then its one of the other steps, most likely step 1.

the temp dvd folder created will be called "DVD" in whatever directory you set as your temp dir.

Thanks for helping me narrow that down. I'll try to trouble shoot step 1
and see what I come up with.

I appreciate your help.

np, in the next version of my vids this should be a lot easier, all the apps will be included in the installer so you wont have to edit any .bat files.

That sounds great. I'm not giving up on this one just yet, though. I'm getting warmer..
I got step 1 and 2 to work - i needed an older version of pva (v 2.02.7)
and now the dvd files are created in the video_ts folder and can be played.
I'm still getting the same message in step 3 (option requires argument) so
no iso is created.

Any ideas?

mkisofs is just one file right.....placed in the dvdauthour folder?

i dont think your passing the "temp dvd directory" to mkisofs, or the .iso image.

-o usually means output so i would assume you would need something like
"-o temp.iso"

trying manually running mkisofs from dos, and figure out the exact command you need, since you have already got the dvd directory created, that way you dont have to wait for steps 1 and 2 before seeing if it works.

if you have nero 6.x you can use the nerocmd .bat file on the wiki, that would save you from needing to create an iso file.

reven, you nailed it. I had a small typo in my dvdburn.bat causing mkisofs
to not know where to output the file. I made the adjustment and now it works like a charm. Thanks for all your help.
This is really a great program.
