Thanks, glad it helped.

It's not an "official" update yet though.

I'll post to the forum when it's on the wiki and "official"

i know this is a old thread but here goes anyway
mpeg import is a great tool
but any chance of modifying it so it does sub directories that way you could scan your whole hard drive

I think MovieWiz can now provide something similar to this function if MpegImport is no longer supported.

You can:
  • From the MovieWiz config
    • Scan your hard-drive and load all movies into the MovieWiz db (Add Content tab).
    • Then you can export all the movies into a SINGLE (xml) file. (Manage Content tab) This file is in the format that GBPVR understands.
  • From the GBPVR config
    • Import above export file into GBPVR to load all entries into the recordings table (Plugins tab, Import Recordings).

To be honest I've not had to use MpegImport for a year or so now, hence the lack of development on it. If people are interested in taking it on I can release the source code.

I will soon be moving over to MediaPortal anyway, as that meets my needs better than GBPVR, so I'll definitely not be actively developing MpegImport.

As for the sub-folders, I thought it already did that. There may well be a bug in there that needs fixing.

Regards.
