I haven't moved the recordings per se, I changed the default recording path. So I assumed that it would still know where to go to look for them.

Update: For some reason the recodings made via scheuled recordings show up, but the manual ones do not. It doesnt bother me, everything is scheduled anyway.

I now have a new problem.

When I start the stream i get "Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application." along with some generic .net error text....

I'm having a problem that I hope someone has seen before and has an answer
for. I've been through all of this thread and searched the forums but couldn't find anything.

All of my recordings show up fine and play great in WMP using the web player or the external Windows Media Player. However, many of my recordings seem to play approximately 20 - 25 seconds and then quit. Some play only about 11 - 15 seconds or so before quitting.

I have not tried the VLC client as this is on a work computer and it would be a violation of company policy to install it. I have tried several different settings for the buffer size and that doesn't seem to have an effect.

Any help would be appreciated.

This isnt really an answer, but I have been able to install vlc onto a usb thumb drive, and use it as a client. So, you dont have to install vlc onto your work computer, just the thumb drive.

Thanks, turkey. Believe it or not, I thought about that and I may try it.

Curious thing is that on another computer it seems to work just fine. The PC that works fine is another one I have at home (not the GB-PVR server), but I'm using the web IP address rather than the LAN to connect to test.

The PC that doesn't work is at work. Well, it works, but then stops. It MAY be something they are doing with the connection at work. I thought about maybe even trying a different port like 80.

I notice in the .xml that there is an entry for "transport". I was wondering what that was about? Future maybe? I'd be curious to see if sgilani will add QuickTime support too.

I have the same thing; annoyingly, I fixed it once before, but can't remember how I did it

I think there is an image folder that gets overwritten somewhere...

webStreamer doesn't use the themes correctly. You'll have to wait for sgilani to release a new version that uses them correctly, or copy the images folder from an older web admin installation.

Okay, so I tried a different port and then it wouldn't work on the machine at work or the machine at home. I even tried setting the port in the sout stream on the VLC server to the same (I don't know if that's right or not). I couldn't get the stream to start at all on the client doing that.

I also tried the VLC client from a thumb drive at work and got similar behavior to WMP. It would start and play fine, but then stop a little way into the clip (WMP would play more of the clip - seemingly the contents of the buffer?). At least VLC would sort of pick up where the clip stopped if I pressed play again whereas WMP would start over from the beginning and stop at the same place every time. But I can't watch by having to constantly keep pressing play every time the video stops.

Any ideas?

I created my own play button and then copied the other 2 missing files into the "web\images" folder. I have attached all 3 files, just copy them into your "web\images" folder and it should work.

I find that I cannot get the videos to play consistently through webstreamer. I will get one to work and then after that it doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions?

What settings do you use for Video Codec, Audio Codec, Mux? I have tried all sorts of different settings, but can't really tell a difference between any. Using WMV, MP3, and MPEG TS seemed to be the best for audio/video synchronization. The quality though looks the same to me no matter which combination I try.

Edit: Since I posted a little while ago, I installed VLC on my remote computer and am now able to get webstreamer to work if I choose VLC and check off the option to Spawn external player. Also, I have to choose 512K or the sound doesn't work. If I choose WMP, it doesn't work no matter what I try. Will stick with VLC though, seems to look better than WMP anyways.

You probably find there's not enough bandwidth, try using a low bitrate.
