Yeah, I suspected as much, but I've tried every bitrate option and just about every combination of video/audio codec and mux options all with about the same effect. I think maybe it has something to do with my connection from work. I was just hoping maybe somebody had had a similar problem and somehow gotten past it.

Thanks.

This seems to be a great application but i am unable to play the files.

GBPVR 96.12 with vlc 0.85 are on the server. The config is set up to use WMV2 and mp3 with the asf mux.

The client is using firefox and opening within it. It has once got to buffering the file then played for a few seconds but with no picture or sound. the rest of the time it just asks me to press play. when i do vlc usage on the server increases but the client shows nothing.

Could anyone please put forward a suggestion how to fix this.

Thanks, andy.

Are you able to get the file streaming by opening up the webstreamer locally? ie. http://localhost:####/gbpvr/stream.aspx. What are your settings? Mine are attached.

What about using Internet Explorer...does it work using that?

I am only able to get the webstreamer to work by using WMV2, MP3, and ASF mux so I don't see it being a problem with a codec or something like that.

I would try installing VLC on the client and check off the option for "Spawn external player" and see if that works. At least if that works you know it's not an issue with a port on your router or something like that.

I noticed that if I have any other application uploading files from my server (like a bittorrent client), or if someone is using our Vonage phone the stream will play for a few seconds then stop. Then I have to hit pause then play to get it running again.

But if I stop everything else, and no one uses the phone, the stream plays great.
I don't know if that is your problem but that is what happens for me.

sgilani,
Just wanted to say this is a great app, I love it.

Sub's sticky for 97.07 doesn't say, so I was wondering if this was supposed to work with 97.07? If not, any ETA on an update :-)

I get an error when trying to access it now (worked great in 96.12 for quite some time, sans a play image button though).

I believe this needs to be upgraded to work with ASP.Net 2.0 and the new data adapter that allows GBPVR to read either Access or SQLite.

Are you using a really old version of GB-PVR? I think that method requires 0.96.12.
