TV-OUT to a projector

I need to purchase a new video card with TV-Out to display GBPVR (Live TV) to my projector. I was using a Diamond S60 card and using a DVI-VGA adapter and the VGA input on my projector (Infocus X1 - 800x600). Was not really happy with the picture quality and the color was really greyed out (I did try to play with the control control and downloaded Powerstrip), just not acceptable. I know there must be a way to clean it up and make it worth watching, i just need to know how!

Suggestions (Currently looking at the Matrox G450 (dual VGA))? Anyone else using a video output to projector??

BTW, this is only used for PVR, no games.

I don't have one personally, but when my roomate had one, he used svideo to rca converter and rca in on the projector, it looked great. This weekend I can borrow the projector at work and play with it and see what is good for PVR. I just might do that...

I have seen this. 800X600 is for office projectors conferences etc and no good for video. It just does not have the resolution. You need a 1024X768 (XGA) for video. Also make sure the one you get does inverted. I will leave you to work out why

Actually i don't know if i can agree with your comments. The Infocus X1 does DVD (video) as good as any $2000-$3000 projector. The picture is truly stunning. You can read about the X1 on any projector forum and see what i mean. Either way, i appreciate the input and i know what you are saying. I was just looking for answers to the question of what video card to get. I know many people are outputting to SDTV (which is lower resolution then my projectors 800x600), and am curious to know what they are using...

Oh yeah, are you hinting about the 'inverted' picture for ceiling mounts??
