would be nice to see the recording progress of the program during paused time shifting
you know like a update to the graphics and time amount changeing.

It will already do this if you're using either the 'Overlay' or 'VRM9 Custom' renderers. The VRM7 and VMR9 renderers are not able to update the onscreen graphics when video is not playing.

hum?? so i should chnage to the overlay. i have nvidia gf 6800 gt agp card. with s-video out.

If this particular feature is important to you, then your only options are either Overlay or VMR9 Custom. There is nothing I can do to get around this limitation of VMR.
