You could try the attached patch. It might get your tv out working again.

Hi, having some problems with 0.97.7 connecting to an MVP. Worked fine under previous versions of GBPVR now when selecting a TV channel or mpeg to play the screen goes blank. This happens for both an instance of 0.97.7 installed over a previous version of gbpvr and installed into a clean directory
gbpvr contains the following 15/05/2006 23:24:01.068 VERBOSE [9] Playback started: I:\Recorded TV\Beauty and the Geek\Beauty and the Geek_20060505_22352335.mpg 15/05/2006 23:24:01.078 VERBOSE [5] MVP data read: 1 (7) 15/05/2006 23:24:01.078 VERBOSE [5] MVP request processed 15/05/2006 23:24:01.108 VERBOSE [5] MVP data read: 1 (7) 15/05/2006 23:24:01.108 VERBOSE [5] MVP request processed 15/05/2006 23:24:01.138 VERBOSE [5] MVP data read: 1 (7) 15/05/2006 23:24:01.138 VERBOSE [5] MVP request processed 15/05/2006 23:24:01.328 VERBOSE [9] MVPSetPlaybackPosition() request to set position to: 0 seconds 15/05/2006 23:24:01.328 ERROR [9] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 15/05/2006 23:24:01.328 ERROR [9] at GBPVR.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.xd47a842a0d6e66d3(Double x5373909460eaf9de) at GBPVR.x977e0aa739bd29d7.x826e5d374a1e5ab9(String x08ae7e3cf7a53434, String xfd3291a7ebc13c43, String x555fc8ac0bf47dac, Int32 xf26801b263fa79ba) at GBPVR.x3222298a0181dd43.xb4057d727283fc14(x8b4f0834394c048a x7cb9dd1fd53b81bf) at GBPVR.xa556fe3f7d8d6ce3.OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs e) at GBPVR.x3222298a0181dd43.OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs e) at GBPVR.x86396f56243de9fb.OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs e) at GBPVR.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.xdae9991ab918b397(Object xdf2e3583f942db7b, KeyEventArgs xc4f45905cb1fc7ba) at GBPVR.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.x458c85690540575e() 15/05/2006 23:24:01.468 VERBOSE [9] MVP not sending frame 15/05/2006 23:24:01.698 VERBOSE [9] frame sent 15/05/2006 23:24:01.909 VERBOSE [5] MVP data read: 1 (3) Any ideas? __________________ cheers patjd Windows 2000 AMD AthlonXP 1800+ 756MB Memory 2x Nova-T 90002 1x MediaMVP

sub Wrote:Did this improve things, or still problems?Still problems - basically when the "default" decoders are selected, nothing at all happens (still just see TV recordings screen etc), and when my previous default decoders are selected (Mainconcept/Hauppauge) it plays a black screen along with the audio - although you can see the mouse moving around, doing so doesn't bring up the OSD etc. .avi files of course play fine. I did manage it to work using a cyberlink decoder, but the picture is very jerky. I suppose I will have to go back to a previously saved state and check up on exactly what the default decoders etc were.

Yeah, sorry I'm not sure. It does sound like something screwy in your decoder setup, particularly if it's not working with WMP either.

I have done some initial testing with SQL Lite on my development machine and I get a database conversion error. I looked in the log and I don;t see anything posted. Would it help if I send you my database?

Hm, just backed up old GB-Folder, closed all applications, deinstalled the old version.
Me installed the new 97.07 GB-PVR and copied over back the config.xml and the gbpvr.mdb... Now i get this within configlog 16.05.2006 01:22:53.609 ERROR [1] Failure in ChannelFactory::loadChannelSummary(): System.IndexOutOfRangeException: favourite_channel bei System.Data.ProviderBase.FieldNameLookup.GetOrdinal(String fieldName) bei System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataReader.GetOrdinal(String name) bei GBPVR.Backend.Common.ChannelFactory.x992e5933cedc5422(Boolean xd4e9773d5159cfe8) I can't choose any channels...; within capture source all channels are saved like before... I can't get back the channels... ...should i cry for help...? *g*

Quote:Me installed the new 97.07 GB-PVR and copied over back the config.xml and the gbpvr.mdb...That was your mistake. You cant copy the gbpvr.mdb or config.xml from a different release. These files are not portable between releases (and never have been in the past). GB-PVR automatically retains your settings during an upgrade. To fix this, you'll probably need to uninstall, reinstall v0.96.12, copy your files back, and then try the upgrade process again...but this time dont copy the old files over. |
