jorm,

Just did a complete wipe-out- and reinstall, but since installing Xsuite I get an error in priorityrecording.exe. It appears to be a result of EPG Updates in PostUpdateEPG.bat, specifically PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log

The error is as shown here: (Pic at bottom of page) and it appears otehrs have had it too

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=7

KingArgyle noted in one post it was a component installed with the XRecord suite. Can I try anything to help you identify the problem?

Attached are some pics from xshare. You can connect to a remote server. View shows ready, pending, you can schedule shows, download shows etc...

Very interesting, are you going to give us a little more info? Or is this just the teaser?

RecTracker works great now.
Thanks Jorm!

Jorm, a couple of other questions.
I noticed that pending recordings has an option to “disable” a reoccurring recording.
But when I disabled a season record, GBPVR just permanently deleted it… Having a “disable” option would be soooo nice! Is there any possibility this could be fixed?

Also, is there a way to use the computer keyboard to enter search / partial-match information? Or do you have to use the onscreen keyboard?

Thanks again.
Jim

By the way, I love the way it handles recording conflicts!

if you are sitting in front of the keyboard you can use your keyboard to search. As for partial matches use the * key.

I will look at the disable reoccurring program some more.

next time the priority recording error comes up hit ok and get the stack trace.

It is not a teaser. It is definitely beta. I have to write a little howto and then I will post it for people to play with. Still trying to determine a good amount of data to send at a time. Made it configurable for people to play with. Once we get it nice and stable. I will write a socket interface to control it so a plugin developer can hook it into gbpvr so we can control it on the mvp.

I also want to make it scriptable so it knows that your friend gets a channel that you dont. And it will download the shows you want that he records from that channel starting the download as soon as the show starts recording so it is available on your server that night.

Umm... pardon my feebleness here, but how exactly do I "get the stack trace"? Is it logged to a specific file somewhere?

When I hit OK it seems to just exit the program and simply terminates it.
Hitting Cancel loads the JIT Debugger, which itself also fails?

I don't mean to sound like a prude, BUT wouldn't this draw negative attention to this project (GBPVR) by the rich guys with the powerful lawyers? The illegality of what you propose is without question. I'd hate to see the whole project and any involved with it go down just for this 'feature'. Just my two cents.

To be honest, I'm not that concerned. I dont think GB-PVR or myself would suffer any legal problems from the functionality of a plugin.

Also, if its developed as a closed invite only type thing, rather than a open slather p2p type thing, I dont think anyone would even raise an eyebrow. No one would have anyway to know if my neighbour and myself we sharing a few shows between us.

Hi Jorm,

I can not download the xrecord-suite-installer. I get the message the zip archive does not seem to be valid.

It's a common forum issue.

See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...=corrupted for fixes to corrupt files.
