Overscan Adjustability

This was a major issue for me using Myth... the inability to adjust overscan/underscan easily. So far, I think SageTV does the best job doing this in terms of ease. I'm pretty sure there are registry settings for the Hauppauge cards regarding Overscan/Underscan, but can a plugin be developed to allow one to make these adjustments in a more generic way so that it will work for any card?

I'm dont think this one could be done with a plugin at this stage. Maybe in future, but current I dont have control of the overscan on some of the playback devices.
