Has anyone tired ORB? I found it in a thread somewhere either here on GBPVR or somewhere on the 'net.

Anyway, it basically takes all your video, photo, and audio files and lists them to a web site that you can go to at any time from any computer with an internet connection and a web browser.

I thought it was pretty cool. But, on the videos it does bandwidth detection backwards. I have 512k upload speed at home (where my PC is that I keep all the files on), and 90Mb at the office, plus a 1 Gig link if I really need it Smile ORB does a test of your download speed where you are, so if I try to watch a video at the office from home, its all messed up, because the site thinks I have 90Mb, but my house has only 512 to serve.

Anyway, its nice because it dosen't require any software on the PC you are at.

I don't know how many times I've been at someone's house talking about photos I took on a trip or whatever, and said "I wish I brought them with me.", now I can!

Oh, http://www.orb.com.

Yes, work well most of the time.

I have never had a problem like this. When I used Orb. It does a speed test, as far I know it looks at both up and down load speed. If your having problems just got to the settings and force your speed to whatever works.

Have you tried the web steemer ad-in to the the web admin? It can use WMP so you dont need to add software, and you get your GBPVR show descriptions.

Could you post that link. Search pulls nothing up on this on, Google itself doesn't pull up any finding under "web steemer ad-in", and can't seem to find that plugin in the Wiki.
Tried multiple times to look to find it, and no findings. Thanks for posting the response ahead of time. I'd like to use that instead of the default method, not that I don't use VLC, but doesn't help at friend's houses that are anal about putting anything on there machine's (Some of my friends with computers are lamers who only know enough to hurt themselves.)

that would be the web streamer plugin by UBU I think: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16495

Edit: sorry I mixed things up. What you are looking for would be something by sgilani I think but I haven't heard about it for some time.

Sorry to revive an old post..
but I wondered if anyone has trouble streaming the mpeg-2 file created by the GBPVR software and Hauppage PVR 150?

I like this Orb program (come a long way), and support is pretty distant on the orb side... so I thought I would ask a few users..
