Which Video Card?

I currently have a computer using a Gigabyte (ATI) Radeon 9250 with Composite TV Out

I'm building another computer and am looking for an inexpensive video card. I'm sort of leaning towards a S-Video TV Out. I can find Nvidia cards in my price range.

Question: I seem to remember some discussion on nVidia cards having some trouble with GB-PVR. Can someone remind me?

In my opinion picture quality is very important, and a significant factor on picture sharpness is the deinterlacing capability. The best deinterlacing available is hardware deinterlacing on video cards.

Hardware deinterlacing is available on:
ATI 9550 and higher
Nvidia 6 series and higher (Purevideo capability), however many users are experiencing problems with Purevideo.

Something else to keep in mind is MPEG4 hardware acceleration, which is available on:
ATI X1000 series (eg X1300)
Nvidia 6600GT and higher.

My personal recomendation (from experience with an Nvidia 6600GT) is to stay away from Nvidia cards.
