Wiki Maximum Size Attachment

I can only squeeze my 26MB Zip file down to a 8MB .exe file that I Zip up.:o

Exactly what limit does it say you are exceeding (there's a coupple of limits we've tried to rise)?

Sorry, I didn't try yet. I knew I was going to be later today so I will give it try now to see.

I have tried twice, and after a while I get thrown back to the page I started from. The file does not get uploaded. The size is 8.1MB.

I can work arround this if there is difficulty raising the limits.

I can sucessfully upload a file with a size of 8056483 bytes...

The difficulty is identifying the limit, not actually raising it Sad

Are you talking about there being some kind of overhead during the upload process like when one e-mails a file. Which is what, around 20-40% increase?

The file I tried is 8,499,200 bytes, (8,499,200/1024^2=8.1MB)

No, no overhead, just the way the data goes (apache - php - pmwiki, this gives three different limits)

Ok, I just found a new (fourth) limit which is currently set to 8M, I now just also have to find out were to change it...

Ok, this is now raised to 16M. Please try uploading again.

Note to new readers: The limit we have been talking about here in this thread is only valid to .zip attachments, other attachment types have lower size limits.

Couldn't the maximum size for EXE files be increased to 10MB so I could upload ThemePacks as EXE files.
