Is there any documentation on writting plugins for GBPVR? is it accomplished via api, etc?

Theres not much in the way of formal documentation, but there are a few reasonable example plugins that come with source code on the plugins page: http://www.gbpvr.com/plugins.html. Its worth taking a look at these.
