There was a new build of the Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) released yesterday that fixes this.

I can't seem to get zaptools working at all. I keep getting errors.

The zaperror1 attachment is when I tried to play a movie that was recorded.
( The error comes right up in GB-PVR Xrecord and says " Error: the type initializer zapmetadata.databasehelper threw an exception" )

The zaperror2 attachment is what happens when I try to manually run postepgupdate.bat.
( The error shows up in a windows dialog box and says " zapimport has encountered an error and needs to close " )

I've looked through the forums and thought I updated everything correctly but I don't see the problem. I went into my zaplabs account and that looked good also.

I've upgraded to v97.9 and SQLite.

Are there any logs that can help diagnose this? Is anyone else still having problems?

Native GBPVR doesn't use ZapTools at all...the Enhanced Web Admin does and I belive some other tools use the data as well. This means the first error is unrelated to Zaptools.

I am not sure about the second error....

What are the settingings in your zapimport.exe.config file?
Are you running with an Access Database or SQLite?
What happens if you open a command window where zapimport is an just type zapimport or zapoimport userid password (where userid and password are your userid and password to access Zap2it Labs)?

Hi,

I reinstalled the Xrecord plugin again and the first error went away. I don't have any other plugins installed in this new build so it must have been something with my first installation of Xrecord.

I think I'm running SQLite. How do I really know? I still have access databases in my gbpvr directory including gbpvr and zapdb. I do have the .db3 databases in there also.

I just ran the zapconfig from the command line and it seemed to run ok. See attached zip screenshot. I do notice that it is writing to the access database though.

My zapdb access database is 4,408 KB and my zapdb.db3 is 15 KB. Does this seem correct.

I did run the zap convert, but maybe I didn't do it correctly. I think I re-ran it after I was having problems.

I think my zaptools is working fully on my setup now.

I re-installed Xrecord again and now it works correctly so it must have been a problem in the Xrecord installation.

New Release to align with GBPVR 97.13 updated to SQLite Data Provider.

For information:

After I installed the new release of Zaptools, I was getting the same errors as before in Xrecord as shown previously in this thread.

Once again, I re-installed Xrecord and the errors went away and its all working again.
