Dbox2 Settings for GB PVR

Hello,

Can anyone help me I'm a bit lost with the capture settings for GB PVR.
I have done the following below, but not sure how to configure my Dbox IP Address or what EPG setting I require.

Can anyone help.

Click “Add” and choose “DboxRecorder Plugin” as capture source. Choose any name you want for “Source Name”.
Click “Configure” and confirm the message box
Configuration should be straight forward, the only things that needs to be set up is the IP-address of the connected dbox

( I'm Ok up to this point) the rest below not sure ??
I configured the IP address of my Dbox, then selected test connection. It states "conection succeeded but incompatible Box "

Also not sure how to setup Set up the EPG Source correctly

Thanks for your response. the Image is sp173.img 1 x chip, However I succeeded in testing the connection by restarting my Dbox. I was also able to load the channels.

there isn't something specific with setting up the EPG for a DboxRecorder capture source. You can follow the steps described here to setup your EPG, for example with xmltv.

I can see the Dbox plugin in my GB PVR menu but when I select it am I right in thinking the Ggrab.exe should start?

Where do you *see* the plugin? It works in the backgound and behaves like a normal capture card. If you're actually recording something, then ggrab is started or the WinGrabEngine is invoked, depending on the chosen engine in the config screen of the plugin. But you won't "see" the plugin or the grab engine on your screen.

And Finally, you can see on file attachment 2 DBOX plug-in in the Menu.

Hi,

you do not need the custom task that you've created.

The channel mapping that you've done is correct for "Sky Movies 1" and "Sky Sports News". From those channels you should now be able to record or watch live tv; just select a show from one of those channels in the tv guide and hit 'record'.

Make sure that "Use Live Preview Mode if possible" is not checked in the config app, 'Misc'-tab.

sorry, I don't understand your question. The plugin won't do a channel scan on your dbox, it will just use the channels that are already stored in the box.
