I have searched the forum but can't seem to find anything relating to my question...

Is there anyway to stream the live TV over the internet or via some sort of portable application that I can put on my USB drive so that I can watch TV wherever I am? I am a relatively a novice when it comes to networks/LAN and all that stuff, so if it is too confusing, I am at a loss.

I tried using Orb, but besides from it being a resource hog, it really is quite error-prone, which the support team there knows about.

Is there a plugin that can be used? I've read webstreamer does this for recordings I have... but is there something to stream the live tv? Like if I wanted to watch a 3pm TV show at work? lol

no, there currently isn't any option to stream live tv over the internet.

I use VLC (Videolan) to stream live TV over the internet. Check out this guide.

If you don't mind using another program you can use ORB.com But you might have to be in the US to get the guide to work.

I'm hopeing the web streamer will give this feature when intregrated into EWA. It uses vlc, but allows use the GBPvr web interface.
GBPVR Server:
AMD Sempron 3300+, 1gb DDR, 100, 200 & 500gb HDDs, DVD -/+RW PVR150 RETAIL, PVR150MCE.
GBPVR 1.0.16, SKIN'S = Default Blue, PLUGIN'S = None
