As eluded to in another thread...
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post120739
A way to use your MCE blaster with either driver, and learn the remote codes of almost any remote...
UPDATED:
Now with multiple remote support!
And also faster!
WIN7/Vista users: Must use alternate driver.

[almost as fast as hip and my net2hipsend]

note: keep the button presses short as possible for a learn, as they will take that long to play back..and you want quick channel changes, right? Smile

it's an autoit3 script so decompile and modify to your heart's content!

works great for me Smile

updated to be faster now, everything's included..
UPDATED:
Now with multiple remote support!
And also faster, just combines the files into 1 and blasts 1 file instead of 1 for each digit...

any length ch# can be used...1-9 digits or more..Smile
__________________________________________________________________________
To Use:
  1. Unpack all files to a dir, run learn-digits.bat to learn stb digits.
  2. Then run config.exe and select ".exe channel changer" and browse to mceblast.exe for exe and set "{channel}" for params. [if only 1 stb used]

[INDENT]Syntax:
MCEblast.exe ### remoteindex-[optional]
##= channel#, remote index is 'a' if not specified..[creates a.# files][/INDENT]

Also included a batch file to help learn ir cmds..Big Grin
It does not busy out the hardware, so other remote programs can be used at same time..

MHm, error message gone away, but nothing happens with my IR-Blaster. Learning worked wunderful, event the IR Blaster flashed.

It's same like sub's MCE Ir Plugin. Sometime the Blaster is flashing, sometimes not.

I am no longer interested to find out how i could get this working; it's annoying... -.-

But thx for your kind effort.

probably a driver issue..try uninstalling and re-installing it [the usb device, as well as the hid device in device manager]

also, it won't work with the original version of MCE remotes [V1]...almost nothing does...

i still use my pvr150 remote but i use this as blaster now cuz it's learnable..Smile
[the MCE remote itself is slow sometimes on startup, pvr150 45 btn. one is nice n quick, and has every button i want..Smile]

Hm, ok, i'll try again tonight =)

With the "reflecting" one you mentioned. I think i should try. The IR Blaster itself is blinking. Perhaps this is you mentioned? Reflecting through the display? Mhm...

It would be great, if i could control finally my STB within GB-PVR, because only of this i bought my MCE Remote V2a.

I'll post back tomorrow... :-D

what box are you trying to control? i know a very few can't be learned, but they are extremely rare...[Bang & Olufson uses a 450khz carrier, most use 36-38khz] and of course rf remotes won't do anything...Smile
[i had customers thinking they had an infrared remote when it was actually both ir and rf, and the rf part they wanted to 'learn',even tho it did put out ir signals..only come i believe with Dish dual tuners]

and actually i meant the reflection off the plastic of the ir signals,[you can see them with a digital camera]creating a 'ghost' second signal sightly delayed...
i just found that a few inches was sufficient for perfect learns every time..

now the blasters need to be almost sitting on top of the box's ir reciever to blast....they have extremely limited range with certain remotes..
[others i've gotten to bounce off walls and still work...but most need to be within a cm. of the recieving eye]

ok that shouldn't be the problem then...
i'm using the regular ehome driver that comes with XP SP2..
actually i believe the built in blaster config works for me..[gbpvr's MCEblaster config setup]
but this one's much faster..Wink

and this is actually more reliable so far than my pvr150...this still transmits all numbers as pvr150 sometimes drops last digit while under heavy cpu load..
