Hey. I've been having trouble updating my EPG. My cable provider changed it's channel lineup, and Zap2it recently update their databases to accomodate this change.

GBPVR added extra channels when it updated the EPG this morning. I have usually been able to resolve this problem by removing the capture source, restarting the recording service, and re-adding the capture source while only downloading a few days to make sure it's correct. (I don't like editing it manually. It takes too much effort. Haha.)

I was able to do this, but after a few minutes when I went to update the EPG to 14 days, I wasn't able to. I looked in the logs and noticed a few errors. I searched the forums, and one of the errors (when postupdateepg.bat runs ZapImport) was supposedly due to the subscription being expired. I check the zap2it website, and it has not expired.

I know this is a long message, but I hope someone can help. Attached are the logs with the errors. Thanks in advance!!

Oops... forgot to attach logs... Here they are. Unfortunately, I restarted the GBPVR app a few times between the logs with the both errors and now, so I was unable to find a log with both errors. Anyway, here's one of the errors...

-----EDIT-----
These logs don't have the errors in it. I'll set GBPVR to automatically update soon, and I'll repost new logs.

-----2nd EDIT-----
I searched the forums again, and found a post that said to go to labs.zap2it.com and check if my listings were still there. I checked once, and it was. I tried updating 4 or 5 more times with no success. I checked again. This time, I clicked the "Details" button and I saw the following message:
This lineup contains no effective stations. Please return to the My Electronic Program Guide page, remove this lineup and select a new lineup.
I removed this lineup and tried to re-add it. UNSUCCESSFUL!... Similar message shows. I guess zap2it is still updating their databases with my cable provider's new lineup.

No help needed for now. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'll post an update upon either a successful attempt or after getting too frustrated. Bye for now!

Yup - same problem. What's funny is that last night I was re-installing GBPVR, I added my capture source, and I updated my EPG just fine. 10 minutes later I was uninstalling and reinstalling (don't ask) and when I went to update the EPG I got an Internal Web Server error. I logged into zap2it, and my lineup (Comcast - Turnersville 08037) had no listings so I removed it and tried to re-add it and I get the "This lineup contains no effective stations" message. I actually tried different zip codes to get different lineups and they all experienced the same problem. Still having the problem this morning, so I'm going to try to contact Zap2It. I'll let you know where I get with that.

Well, I checked the Zap2It forums last night, and there were no posts about the "No effective station" problem. I checked again this morning, and sure enough this problem is occuring from coast to coast. I'm glad it's not just me, but I hate having to wait this out. I'll post again once I have a successful update.

Yay! After a day out of buying some new clothes and watching my parents gamble, I finally had a successful update! Woo-hoo!

Just a note to others having the errors updating their EPGs from Zap2It. Check the details of your lineup and see if it still exists. You may have to remove and re-add your lineup. Good luck!
