This might work for you, but it wasnt my intention that this be called from a plugin, so I cant be sure.

I will provide a proper API for controlling playback from plugins later.

We'll I guess I had good luck with that try
I now fixed the whole control problem by sending KeyEvents to GB-PVR from my Service App, just like the Hauppauge Remote does. But if that would be provided in the API it would be great.
(Just beside of that, I don't if I just haven't found it, but it seems there is no API function with which I can access TV-Guide Data. I currently read them from the 'Database' directly. I think that would be also a good thing, since it's always bad to access data directly when you're not the owner of design)

If you look at the web admin source code included with the app, you'll see how it uses the ScheduleHelper API to retrieve listings.

I have been using my old IPAQ as a remote for my X10 system and would love to use it for this. I have been researching the idea on my own and the only thing that comes close to what I think you are proposing is here. http://www.promixis.com/products.php?section=netremote If that could work with GB or something like it, that shows the album covers and a small 5 channel 1.5 hour tv guide, that would be cool. The promixis one has too many limitations. You have to rely on using outside programs to play mp3 and mpeg files. instead of just running them through a host program. Let me know if this is what you are trying to do, if so, count me in, I'm not a coder, but I'll help where I can, maybe grafix or anything of the sort. dam.n typosa..

How's the PPC project coming? I am looking for a remote control method suing what I have as well. I started looking into how I could use the FusionHDTV 5 Gold infrared remote to see if it could control GBPVR, but I have a PPC as well and this could work too.

I could possibly test as I am not a coder, but I am interested in what you are doing.

Hello Guys,

First of all, thanks for the positive feedback on my idea, and 2nd sorry for dissappearing for such a long time. But I have been kept busy by about a million of other projects.
I'll start with work on the pocket pc remote latest on the coming monday! promise! I hope there will be a proof of concept-alpha in a about 2-4 weeks. I will have to upgrade my dev-env to .NET 2.0 first.

@Cheshireccat: I really could use a creative hand for the skin-graphics. Version 1 will have a static one. But I already have a skinnable version in mind... but I think getting it first of all to work is more important

@wintermute: Testers are always great! Some else sees more errors than one self.

Hope you have not given up on me yet!
