Now that AMD has purchased ATI anyone hazzard to guess what will happen next?
Will the theater 650 still come out?
Will we still see avivo enabled graphics cards for our HTPC's?

From what ive read, expect cpu+gpu intergration on the cpu die.

From everything I've read, AMD picked them up so that they could compete heavier in the laptop and integrated market, like smart phones and tablet PCs where it's beneficial to have their own chipset and integrated video controller (either on cpu or chipsets like Intel does). AMD can get their new CPUs to market much faster too because they won't have to work with 3 or 4 companies in the chipset design.

AMD is going to have a sizable amount of money coming in from the alliance with Dell so I think they're using this opportunity to get into some other business interests while they can.
