Note: this version is not compatible with GBPVR v0.96.12 or earlier. There is a legacy link in the first post on this topic.

Version 1.2.2397.22489 BETA (direct download link)

As always, this is a beta, comments, suggestions and bugs report are welcomed.

Features:
  • Reoccurring recording menu shows all reoccurring recordings and allows you to cancel them
  • SystemTray tab in Tray Configuration window redesigned to look better.
Advanced tab in Tray Configuration window now allows you to view previous log file (which is the one that will contain errors from the last time you ran the tray utility).
  • Added Reoccurring menu(very experimental)
  • Added Reoccurring menu configuration items to Menu tab of Tray Configuration window
Bug fixes:
  • Small bug in Registry code that read one of the values from the wrong place.
  • Adjusted messages in shutdown confirmation dialog so that a potentially meaningless option is not displayed in certain circumstances.
Coding:
  • Unhandled exceptions should now be handled properly.

No, thanks. Glad the problem is gone.

The good that has come out of it is that it forced me to have another bash at UnhandledExceptions which I had struggled with before. My routines were only catching a percentage of unhandled exceptions which was why you were seeing the Microsoft error reporting box instead of my own in circumstances where the exception wasn't caused directly by something I had written. However, I think I may have cracked it now and the latest version (just posted) should provide better information in such circumstances as yours.

By the way, GBPVRcli has it's own thread here where you can see how others have used it with LCDSmartie.

Thank you for all the help, glad it was not a total waste of your time and some good came out of it. Thank you for the post to the cli thread. That is where I started, and when I was having problems migrated over here.

Thank you again for all the help. Really enjoying the application now. Decided to use your tray and not just cli once I started playing with it. This is one of the best add-ons to GBPVR I have tried.

Hello!

Quick question. Is there any way to see conflicts in the tray? I have not seen them flagged so far. If not is this a planned or possible enhancement (to cli as well)?

Thanks!

There is currently no way of seeing conflicts but it is on my mind to add this. I haven't yet investigated the best way of going about it.

Just discovered that the dialog box you get when you click a pending recording had the wrong text in each option. Clicking the first option (which reads keep pending) actually cancelled it. The second option (which reads cancel pending) keeps it.

Have fixed but going to bed now and will upload fixed version tomorrow.

Sorry for mixing in CLI stuff here, but I think the issue is the same root.

Sometime after a recording has started and while it is still going on, the /inprogress switch of the cli will not correctly report that a recording is in process. The slimm try icon will still be flashing green at this time. It will stay this way until the recording ends or you access the tray. If you access the tray durring this time, as soon as the "Hold on a sec" message disappears, the icon will go back to gray, even though a recording is still inprogress. The icon will not return to green until the next recording. Also, there is no indication in the slimm menus that a recording is in progress and the inprogress recording appears as a pending recording.

If I run the gbpvr native tray, it shows green correctly through the entire process and also correctly reports the name of the show being recorded.

Does this always happen or does it occur when you have one or more recordings following the same number of recordings?

Is GB-PVR operating over a network of any kind?

However, you mentioning this does bring to mind an area I might have overlooked when I recently adjusted the green light code in my program and an item where I might improve. Thank you for your time.
