I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching and didn't find anything.

I have a WinTV PVR USB2 installed and everything's working great, EXCEPT the remote is kind of flakey. I am using the built-in remote support (not using the Hauppauge exe) with the 45 button remote (checked the box for this). In general, it works, but occasionally it will misinterpret the button pressed. Sometimes down becomes up (or visa versa), fast-forward becomes stop (very frustrating - have to re-seek to current location), and OK (or enter, whatever - not looking at it right now) becomes up+OK (when trying to press ok on the tv guide, the up selects Exit and the OK makes it quit the program. EXTREMELY frustrating). And, by occasionally, I meant that out of 10 clicks, it will mess up 2-3 times on average.

Is this something I can fix by changing some settings? Would it work better if I didn't use the built-in support (I'm trying to have as few processes as possible running)? Or is this just something I'll have to deal with?

Thanks!

EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention: I'm currently using 0.97.13, but I also experienced this before upgrading (can't remember what version I had, but it would be whatever was the newest in February).

The built support doesnt actually communicate with the remote in any way. Instead, the Hauppauge Remote application (IR.EXE) does all the work, and just passes keystrokes to GB-PVR.

Have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote?

Unfortunately there isnt any settings that I know of that would help with the problem you describe.
