Hi all,

Looking at getting an Antec Fusion case which incorporates an iMon compatible VFD, however support for this seems a bit non standard in GBPVR so I'm thinking of writing my own.

iMon have released a simple API of 5 calls here, so I don't think it'll be too big a job to actually do. Just want to make sure no-one has already got one up and running or is already looking at this before I start!

Also, anyone with an iMon VFD who may be able to test would be helpful!

Thanks

My iMON VFD works great with GB-PVR. I just use LCDSmartie along with Slimm's GBPVRCLI utility. The latter enables the VFD to display what is currently recording (if anything), what is next to record and when (which remains on the VFD while PC is in standby). Along with the standard LCDSmartie features of Date/Time, disk space left, temps etc. this gives me all I need.
If you are interested then the details on this are posted somewhere here. Otherwise happy to help.

I'll give it a go with LCDSmartie first before starting any work then and see how it goes, no point in duplicating effort!

thanks guys

Fooman created an excellent LCDSmartie Plugin for GBPVR which works very well on iMON VFD's, and I highly recommed it.
