Hopefully I'm posting in the right area, but I'm looking for any plugin or utility as I saw a few, but wasn't sure if they were what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that while I'm in GB-PVR I will be able to burn directly to a DVDR, but in a DVD format not keeping it as an Mpeg. If it's not possible to burn on the fly then what is recommended. In essense I'd prefer to have both as if there's a show say I recorded and wanted to watch it at a friend's house, it would be nice to select it and do all the burning through GB-PVR even if it's much later and also would be nice if I was watching a special event and could burn it on the fly or at least create a DVD ISO that's ready to go.
Thanks in advance

shameless plug coming...lol
yea, Showburner is what you're looking for...down and dirty and as far as i know the only on-the-fly one out there..Big Grin
it's undergoing a re-vamp with single page menus with full descriptions and large thumbnails, comskip chapters for skipping commercials as well..[oh and by on the fly i mean single step creation,no temp files just final output files to burn]

it's also going to be integrated into Recodings2 plugin in next version as well..
[and may be it's final new home..undecided..]

it's available on the wiki under "Utilities" not plugins...
and not in the menu to the left..look on the right.
it uses Nero7 to burn so hope you have that..Smile
about a week from new version release..

You can also check out MyVideos5. I haven't tried it myself yet, but it supposedly works the way you want. =)

Untill Recordings2 is out(with showburner!), how do one use showburner? It's a commandline-tool(batch-file), right? Do'es the profiles show up in the transcoding menu(and now i have read the Wiki, so now i know:o )

I can not get the installer to work on my danish XP: Something about dir-name isn't right

Last but not least: Did you get PAL-encoding working ?

I think so, it just uses a batch file for burning, so you just modify the commands slightly to neroc 5/6/7. They all have the nerocmd executable.

got pal working with ffmpeg but not sure about the pal dvd's totally yet...
will have to wait for pal till after next update..[lots of changes]
i need a tester for pal as i don't have a pal player/tv..

hmmm, not sure why it woulnd't install, it gets the gbpvr dir from the registry, and copies the files to a subdir off of that..
Normally Showburner works from the video-library transcode menus, but a slight gbpvr glitch broke it in ver .97.13...[supposedly fixed in next ver.]
but all other versions with transcode buttons should work..

nero7 is what the batch is setup for, but that can be modified, and you can use other software to burn it later if wanted..[mine just creates a dvd-folder to burn] Nero 6 should work also, but only some versions..[and may need command adjustment]

sorry to ask this might sound like a stupid question, but is there a way to create a DVD ISO on the fly also. The reason I'm asking is that sometimes I'd like to record a show say on DVDR and take it to a friend's house, but sometimes I'm not able to make it there and I'd like to upload the ISO image of the show to my friend, so that he can simply burn it with his DVD player and watch, since he doesn't have a PVR hooked up to his TV. not trying to be too complicated, sorry

Thank you, pBs.
I would indeed like to be one of your PAL-testers when you get to that part !
