dsmelser,

I just saw that problem the other day. It is actually a file called recordingutil.dll you can get xrecord working if you replace it. I am not sure why my build machine has a different version of the library? I will try to post the dll to wiki. In the mean time you can download a older version copy that dll to the side install the latest and copy it back. Priorityrecording will not work though.

Sean,

Thanks a lot for uploading the older versions. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same errors initializing the Xrecord plugins with these as with the current version; I get the error message "Version 2.0 is not a compatible version" for two of the plugins in the configuration log, and the error message- "One or more of the types in the assembly unable to load"- for the guide plugin.

It sounds like it should be a simple error on my part, but I can't find any reference to it on the forum (maybe I'm just too simple). Any ideas as to what's going wrong? Again I'm running GBPVR version 96.12, which is why I assumed the compatibility problem was caused by installing the latest version of Xrecord.

(I'm sure others will find the archive of older versions useful anyway).

Hi Frazer

Sorry it did'nt help. I've got the same problem, actually I've gone back to v0.95.16 which works ok for me, but is quite slow.

I've had both the priorityrecording and the SQLite error, even though I was not using SQLite! So that I don't have to keep trashing my working GB-PVR system. I've created a Virtual Machine running XP with VMWare. I've installed v0.97.13 (with a dummy tuner) and the xrecord from the wiki, but no luck so far. If I get some time over the w/e I will try some of the different versions of xrecord. If I find anything I will let you know.

I'm having similar sounding problems as SWK, when I try and run xrecord I get this error:
'System.Data.SQLite,Version=1.0.27.1, Culture=neural, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of it's dependencies.
The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference.
(Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

When I try and update my EPG I get this error:
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : priorityrecording.exe P2 : 0.0.0.0
P3 : 44dd1f9b P4 : recordingutils P5 : 1.0.2414.38274 P6 : 44dd39d5
P7 : a8 P8 : 1 P9 : system.io.fileloadexception

I removed the line "PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log" from my PostUpdateEPG and it seems to be working know when I try and update my EPG.

Are you actually getting the plugins to initialize though Sean? I can't even get that far- i.e they don't show up in the configuration- and I haven't found any other reports of such problems on the forum.

Thanks again for your help,

Hi all,

I witnessed the same thing many of you did (with the runtime version of the "DATA" dll's....). I dived into the source-code, and think I might have found what the problem was....

Seems some stuff remained "old" in the "RecordingUtils.dll".

I made some quick hacks that may fix the problem.... This version runs on my 97.13 machine with SQLite (I can run "PriorityRecording" and "DeleteSchedule" from the command-line without errors).

I'd like you to try this DLL (just put it in your GBPVR directory... To be on the safe side, make a copy of the current one).

Please send me feedback to let me know if it works for you.... If I get the idea the fix is stable, I'll update the source-code and ask Jorm to crank out a new package....

Please remember that this is a "beta" (the DLL is compiled with debug-options). If it works, fine, if not, I'll have to look further...

Have fun,
//Ton

Seems to have done the trick, now I got version 45b to work with SQLlite.

Thanks,

Anders.

Thank you thank you thank you! I was finally able to move to the post 96 releases when you updated this! So far it looks like it is working great. The only utility I am missing now is DeleteSchedule.exe.

Thank you! It works great now! I had the same problem with the latest GBPVR & xrecord, and your dll fixed it. Thanks for fixing it!

There is a skinning bug with Guide2j that requires Background.jpg to be in the skin root directory, regardless of what is defined in the skin files.

What is "odd" is that you can define different paths or file names, but it just requires the file to be there even if it is not used.
