Does anybody know how to adjust the brightness or contrast settings on the MVP? Im not sure what to think i have to darken my custom Backgrounds because they appear to light> then when watching live Tv or Recorded program things get to dark and over saturated. Anyone with the same problems and have a solution?

Is the greens britter then everything else or to much green causing it to look dark?
If so this is a known problem with some US brand MVP were a sync was sent over the composit output causing green saturation on some US TV. Using the S-Video will bypass the problem or using a VCR to remodulate to picture would restore it. That is what I had to do for one of my MVP.

If not someone else may have a solution.

as far as the green sync, I have tried svideo into the PVR 250 and I also use a Rf Modulator. I have also tried a Dvd stream coverted to Mpeg2 and is still dark. Yet the custom menus appear too bright until i play a recorded video. Perhaps Sub knows of a way around this?

Nope, and I've not seen the problem myself.

I personally have a bit of red push. I tweak my color, contrast, and brightness on my TV to get a good picture.

I adjusted my settings for my PVR350 using wintv and that seemed to make a difference to the tv picture in GBPVR. Maybe it is wishfull thinking.

I am curious what hardware revisions you all have (it says on the bottom of the MVP). I have a "D3A" and also noticed that compared to when I hook the cable box into the TV set directly, the brightness is reduced when watching shows through the MVP (applies for both, live TV and recorded shows). Also, I am using the latest GB-PVR release (0227?).

I have a D1, Im not so sure it is the player or the dongle. is there any way we can get picture control added into the software rather than constantly adjusting the tv's controls. Red push is severe. That said im primarily using it on a 53" sony rear projection, when viewed on a 27 CRT it doesnt look as noticeable. SUB>> how does the
adjusting of the PVR card using say Wintv affect your program as its recording i.e if brightness is increased does your program get it values from the reg. files.
